David Johnston - President, Sales Resource Group Inc.
David is President of Sales Resource Group Inc. With his broad, international consulting background, he offers invaluable knowledge and leadership to all of his clients. David has over 20 years experience consulting for organizations in diverse fields such as: media, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, technology, retail, manufacturing and financial services.
He has held management positions in Ford Motor Company, The Bank of Nova Scotia and Price Waterhouse. His consulting clients include Bell Canada, MeadWestvaco Corporation, Manulife Financial, Aliant, The Sun-Times News Group, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, 3M Corporation and Ericsson Communications. David advises clients in the areas of strategy, process optimization, sales compensation and competency modeling. He has managed multi-disciplinary teams in large-scale projects and is a sought-after speaker in the area of sales forces effectiveness.
David’s expertise and management experience affords him the capacity to direct and supervise all of Sales Resource Group’s accounts.
In addition to his consulting and management background, David holds Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Business Administration. He teaches sales compensation for the WorldatWork and is a member of The Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario and The Canadian Professional Sales Association.
Shawn Trevellick - Director, Software Development
Shawn is a vital component of the senior executive team. He is Senior Applications/Systems Executive and Director of Software Development for Sales Resource Group Inc. Shawn has over 15 years experience in multiple programming languages and technologies and a diverse background in developing telecom, invoicing, commission, and data processing applications. He also has a senior management background, involving research and development, operations, and product implementations.
Using his expertise and executive skills, Shawn leads an exceptional development department that uses the latest technology to build a variety of Windows and Web based applications. He supervises the technical systems at Sales Resource Group including onsite training, creating customer applications, technical support, project management, and client relations.
Shawn’s education includes Computer Science and Technology and Dunn and Bradstreet Management training with extensive knowledge of C#, Visual Basic, HTML, SQL, ASP, JavaScript, and the .NET development environment. He has also worked outside of the development field in network administration, database administration, and customer service.
Emilia De Simone - Director, Consulting Services
Emilia De Simone is Director of Consulting Services for Sales Resource Group. She has over 15 years experience in the field of Compensation and Sales Operations. Her areas of consulting expertise include sales compensation design, sales process mapping and optimization, systems alignment, sales administration, performance management, and organizational development.
Emilia is responsible for the direction and leadership of Sales Resource Group’s flagship consulting practice. These responsibilities include the supervision of SRG’s consulting clientele and input in the executive decision-making process. Emilia’s ability to apply her compensation knowledge to the PlanIt Sales Compensation® application is invaluable.
Emilia's background includes senior management positions in compensation and sales operations; her areas of responsibility included both incentive and non-incentive compensation, developing quota setting and forecasting models, creating sales recognition programs, sales lead management, sales administration, development of reporting and statistical tools, account management programs, and establishing national sales policies and procedures.
In addition, she has experience consulting for sales organizations in, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, telecommunications, financial services, information technology, retail, broadcast media, and manufacturing industries. Some of her consulting clients include Securit, Hbc, Bell Aliant/Bell Canada, Aviva Canada, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Bank of Montreal (BMO). Emilia is a Certified Compensation Practitioner (CCP), through the World at Work Association, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In addition, she sits on the Board of Directors for the GTA Rewards Association (WorldatWork).
Matt Tyre - Director, Client Services
Matt Tyre fills a key role on the executive team as Director of Client Services with Sales Resource Group Inc. His knowledge and experience provides him the ability to oversee the implementation and integration for all partnerships between Sales Resource Group and their clients.
His experience is derived from seven years working for three Fortune 500 Companies (Pepsi Bottling Group, Canon Canada, and ACS) in the areas of Sales and Project Management. He also has five years of Human Resources experience; managing a recruiting firm and conducting compensation market data studies for global organizations with the research division of Sales Resource Group. Matt’s technical understanding is also an extremely valuable asset to Sales Resource Group in the implementation and customer support of the PlanIt software application.
Along with his HR experience, Matt also brings diverse sales industry experience and sales compensation knowledge to projects. His experiences with sales compensation data analysis & reporting, and sales compensation systems implementation provides invaluable understanding of client needs.
